ISRC
The Intelligent Systems Research Centre (ISRC) is
a research group within the Faculty of Engineering, on the
Magee College campus of the University of Ulster, N. Ireland.
The group was founded in 1997 and is currently composed of
five academic staff and twelve research students, three of
whom are funded directly from industry. The ISRC embraces the
topic of intelligent systems in the widest sense; the activities
of the group encompass research into a range of intelligent
and hybrid technologies, and include work on neural networks,
fuzzy systems, genetic / evolutionary algorithms, hybrid intelligent
systems, reasoning, multiple valued logic and model predictive
control. The research is being applied to topics as diverse
as intelligent embedded systems, hybrid intelligent machine
vision systems, re-configurable computing, hardware-software
partitioning, design automation, and self-repair of complex
embedded systems.
NORIBIC
Northern Ireland Business and Innovation Centre is a full
member of the European Business and Innovation Centre Network
(EBN) comprising over 160 member BICS across Europe. Each
BIC is designed to meet the unique requirements of its region
and to complement and co-operate with other EU, national and
regional enterprise support mechanisms.
NICENT
The Northern Ireland Centre of Entrepreneurship was established
as a result of a competitive bid made to the Science Enterprise
Challenge (SEC) initiative. It is led by the University of
Ulster in partnership with Queen's University Belfast and
CAFRE/Loughry Campus. The primary aim of NICENT is to drive,
promote and support entrepreneurship in science and technology
subjects

Club
The University of Ulster Knowledge Club is a networking initiative
created to promote knowledge-sharing and transfer between
the University of Ulster and the regional business, industry
and community sectors.

community and public sector interests. Supported by the Higher
Education Reach Out to Business and the Community Fund (HEROBC),
the University has embedded the Office as a central department
and a key aspect and of its Regional Development mission and
strategy
