EpiCentre shortlisted by the European Commission for RegioStars 2008 award

EpiCentre has been shortlisted by the European Commission for RegioStars 2008 - the awards for Regional Innovative Projects. The main objective of RegioStars 2008 is to identify good innovative practices in regional development. The aim is to highlight original and innovative projects which could be attractive and inspiring to other regions. On 11&12 December EpiCentre welcomed Ruth Nugent and Claire MacCarrick from the European Commission together with Roger Hope from SEUPB. The purpose of this visit was to produce a case study of the work of EpiCentre for publication and inclusion on the DG Regional Policy website. The EpiCentre case study will now go forward to the RegioStars jury which will meet in February 2008 to decide the winners.
